Transplant Games

 

 

Belfast Transplant Games 2011

 

The Transplant games this year were held in Belfast and the team returned in triumph with a total of 44 medals.  The team consisted of 14 transplantees of which 5 were Liver recipients.

 

The overall score of medals from the games are broken down as follows:- 21 Gold, 15 Silver and 8 Bronze - an excellent result all round.  The team had a great time in Belfast and ALTA is very proud to have had a small supporting part in such success.

 

We wish John Crookenden the best of luck when he competes in the next Winter Games.

 

There is an opportunity to see the team in action next year as the games are being held in Medway on the 23^rd August 2012.  Why not come and give the team your support or join the team to celebrate the Gift of Life - there is an activity for everyone and our oldest ALTA competitor is 84!  For more information contact Jenny Aspland (see “Meet the Trustees”).
